Full of Gratitude at Furnitureland South

FURNITURELAND SOUTH EMPLOYEES RECOGNIZE COMPANY CULTURE

As a family-owned business, Furntiureland South has championed a family-oriented atmosphere for its employees since the beginning. In fact, when asked what makes this company special, most employees will tell you it feels like working with and around family every day. From the marketing department to our material handlers, design consultants and floor designers, there is so much gratitude floating around our 1.3 million square foot campus, and we are delighted to share it with you. Please take a moment to view the following videos for a glimpse inside what working at Furnitureland South looks like, how it feels and why we consider ourselves extremely lucky to call this place “home” while sharing that sentiment with our clients and customers.

Floor Design

No two days are the same for Corey Culp. Serving as the Team Lead of Floor Design in the Outlet at Furnitureland South, Corey works behind the scenes to help this company thrive.

Moving 150 to 200 pieces of furniture in and out of our facility per day, Corey and his team work hard to manage our product and create world-class shopping experiences at the world’s largest furniture store.

Design Consultants

Rose Shockley strives to provide a world-class shopping and design experience for her clients. Surrounded by co-workers who feel like family in an energetic and supportive work environment, Rose said Furnitureland South is a workplace like no other.

Stepping into her role as a Design Consultant, Rose never imagined she would become so passionate about furniture. Now, she can’t picture herself doing anything else.

Marketing

Cassie Prusaczyk serves as the Marketing Manager at Furnitureland South and works alongside the marketing team to create engaging content that promotes our luxury brands, educates our customers and brings new customers into our store.

“If you’re looking to flourish with a company that has a growth mindset, is performance driven and challenges you to be the best person that you can be day in and day out, then Furnitureland South is the place for you,” Cassie said.

Material Handlers

Richard Flippin makes a huge impact as a Material Handler at Furnitureland South. As the first person to handle our product, Richard says he enjoys being able to work with goods from all over the world around people who feel like family.

“It’s a family-oriented place; everybody in here treats each other like we are brothers and sisters like a big family, like one big happy family,” Richard said.

Operations

Matt Waugh serves as the Executive Director of Operations at Furnitureland South and says it’s a “well-oiled machine.” He manages everything on campus that’s not sales or product related, so groundskeeping, shipping and receiving, customer service and finance fall under Matt’s umbrella.

“There’s so many different people here that come from different backgrounds and trying to get all those people pulled together to do one common thing is amazing,” Matt said.

Retail Operations

Willie Wright gets the job done. As a Retail Operations Manager at Furnitureland South, Willie oversees the crews in the Mart, Showroom and Outlet to ensure our floors are designed to the highest standards.

Going on 26 years at the company, Willie says the people are what make Furnitureland South the best place to work.

“It’s just a great place to work just because of the family atmosphere,” Willie said. “It’s family-owned, and that permeates throughout the company.”
